Arcade stiliaus kontroleris

 Konstravimo epizodas lietuviškai.

Gal dabar darysiu lt įrašus, jei jų dar bus.

Šiandien gavau pigų arcade kontrolerio rinkinuką.

Klavišai, usb interfeisas, svirtelė.pajungimo laidai. Nėra korpuso, reik savo pateikt. Motininės dėžė labai panašaus dydžio kaip reikia! :D Laikinai tiks.

Tadaaaaaa! Rankų darbo kontroleris su pigiausias komponentais done :) ant Mortal Kombat 11 pabandžiau. Nebemoku fighting geimų jau. Koks geras tikslumas svirtelės kai reik kryptis keist, pulteliu man taip nesigauna. Tiesa labai įprast reik, ir kontroleris ant kelių kitaip ir svirtele ranka, ne pirštu valdai.

Husqvarna auto mower 305 charging station blinks red.

Family lawn WallE unit started to misbehave more: it developed charging station failure with blinking red led. In addition to worn battery and not parking correctly into the carger and runing into it.

Manual says this is charger antenna failure signal, go to service people. This is my father's slave robot, so he went to husqvarna service, they had no idea how to even go about fixing this, I got to find out.

The white wire that goes around it is the dock antenna. It has a piece of insulation worn off somehow and green corrosion on it. reconnecting there did not help at all, it still measured almost megaohm resistance, red blinking led too.

Changed the wire to piece of it's perimeter wire, antenna wire did not seems anything special wire to me, except the soft insulation, perimeter wire uses very stiff insulation material.

Electronics by the way is not hermetically sealed in this, but everything is coated in something, no corrosion on the pcb. But water was on everything for some reson, this of course is outside on the lawn. Main connector is not outside rated nor is the service connector... They are slightly corroded.
Now we have green light, station charges but walle slave is still not working correctly. We may have bad contact on guide wire or something.

Hammers up

I made several hammers. Simple crude ones. With oak scraps and pear handles. Sadly did not make wood cutting videos or photos.

Used ink transfer to make logos on wood. Just printed on shiny side on sticker paper backing piece with inkjet printer and placed that on wood. Instant picture(thank you Woodworking for Mere Mortals :) )

Sickles and things

Today I got some weeding tools to fix. So I got to my "sticky things" box to select ammunition. It seems to be low on several kinds of epoxy and out of big glue sticks.

I selected appropriate sticky chemical mix for the job. Handles. Low quality badly fitted handles started wobble.

Victims of the "repair". Hopefully it will work and it will be repair.

Handle is held only by bent tool end and some friction. Not a lot.

There are way too big of a holes in the handles

Selected some splints to wedge the blades into the handles

Poured some soviet made epoxy (1:1 resin to hardener) and performed stirring. Not mixed in picture. Proper mix should  be one color.

Almost fill the handle openings with epoxy:

Then jam the blades with splints into the handles and leave to dry. Tomorrow will bend the ends for more of a mechanical, not just adhesive strength. I forgot to clean the blade tangs with some degreasing chemicals and now not sure if epoxy will bond to metal strongly. These things remind me of something.

Note the safety flip flops. Some dude long ago had some improper use of tools and put them on a cloth.
On a completely unrelated note- I'm making three wooden hammers. That was not planned. they were just dry today after gluing desired size oak heads from scraps. Three long things will become handles and big blocks(2 in picture) will be heads.

That's all for today, and maybe for several months or years again ;) Motivation module may be broken in this unit.

Panasonic SA-AK20 stereo laser lens cleaning FAIL

Today I was messing with another dusty/greasy panasonic. Poor thing was working in the kitchen. Grease and dust inside. Great!

Inside the box found dust and more dust. fun thing it is.
Tried to clen hard to reach lens with isopropyl alcohol. Hard to do.
Shot of the not working cd player thing.

removed this thing for better lens access

Better access achieved.

cleaned lens. cleaned some more after. not ideal.
Unit was opened some time ago- found a bit damaged ribbon cable, missing at least 2 unimportant screws, cracked plastic small part in vibration dampened laser cradle assembly.
This thing won't spin cd. Don't know if it's not detecting it or drive is bad. Dammit.

Awww, zoomed in after got home and found that lens was very very badly greasy! Photo before cleaning.

After clening few times. dammit. Should zoomed more when working on it. FAIL. Grease streaks, or scratches-  don't know.
Yes. Failed cleaning attempt. Retry at a lated date. Me sad :)

Panasonic SA-AK17 stereo laser lens cleaning

Deja vu! Cleaned stereo which was not reading CDs!
Behold my friends 98 or 99 shelf stereo!

Naked stereo
other side of the box

Top view, there is the problem area.

Under the plastic part hides Lasor! Dusty maybe.

Gave compressed air (lung compressor), isopropyl alcohol treatment to the lens, ready to assemble and test.

5 CD changer stacking device. Next time I will take video of it working.

Of course it works again, awesome :) NEEEEXT!
